Listen, it's a battery powered mower. You are not going to mow an acre on a single battery charge, let's be real. But for my small residential yard, it works perfect. YES, the battery WILL drain FASTER when you use the self-propelled function, or when you have thick and tall grass making the motor work harder to mow, that's just the reality of it. I mow twice a week, it takes me about 45 minutes to mow, Weed Wack, and blow the clippings of the driveway, and I use both batteries fully. Upgrade to larger batteries for longer use and keep a few extra and you are good to go! You can even keep a second battery in the mower in a storage slot next to the battery being used so you can swap it out faster than a NASCAR pit stop!

I use all the tools in the set to maintain my backyard. They are easy to use and not heavy at all. Great quality!

I own a gas mower, electric and now cordless mower. This is definitely better than an electric mower but not as robust as the gas. For 1/4 acres I end up using 1.5 batteries. I bought 2 batteries for this reason. I own numerous Greenworks products and I am a big fan! This mower is optimal for low grass. It does have a height adjustment and super easy to push.

I purchased the kit including 21" mower, blower and string trimmer. My 23 year old gas mower is on its last leg and I wanted to get more Greenworks electric tools using the same 40V batteries. My front lawn was a little long and still wet, but the mower got through it pretty well mulching. I had to slow down a little bit in a really thick and wet area, but I would have done that with the gas mower too. I got 25 minutes of mowing out of the 5 Ah battery and still stuck the same battery into the blower to blow the driveway. I am pretty sure that my 4 Ah and 5 Ah batteries will allow me to do front and back without a problem, 45 minutes usually. I just got and used the tools once, but so far I am very happy with the purchase.

this kit is NOT what you want. the kit includes the 40v mower and leaf blower, but the trimmer that ships with them is actually a 24v tool so it can't use the batteries that ship with the kit. no battery or charger are included and are not interchangeable with those for the 40v tools. so effectively they are bundling these as an advertized, one battery fits all when they aren't and you have to make additional purchases to make these work. this does not appear to be me simply receiving the wrong bare tool with my purchase as the pictures match what I received and when I search for 40v trimmers they have a completely different appearance. don't waste your time, effort and money on this.when I requested a refund and return, they took 4 days to provide a return shipping label that is nothing but an address, postage is apparently my responsibility. this is the worst company I have ever seen.

The product essentially came fully assembled. If you even seen a mower before you can have this thing up and running in less than 10 min. It's two hand twisted screws to attached the handle to the base, and then decide if you want to mulch or bag by leaving or removing the plug that comes installed, it simply unclips with no tools.I was incredibly skeptical spending my good money on a "battery mower" and felt like I should just get good ole reliable gas power. I don't know much about batteries, but all I can say is they have them developed to deliver some serious power. I have a healthy thick luscious lawn, not trying to brag but it's the envy of the neighborhood, and this little guy gave my yard the cleanest haircut I've ever seen! It was so quiet I could talk on my cellphone while mowing...no joke. This maneuver also required a one handed push and the mower is so light with no engine that it was not an issue at all.If you already have the battery this is a NO BRAINER purchase. If you don't have the battery yet, I would seriously consider the 40v green works stuff for your yard needs. I use the string trimmer, blower, and now this mower.

One of the batteries I received was dead or non functional. WOULDN'T CHARGE.

My one battery was a dud. Customer service at GreenWorks took good care of me
